Kiln-dried Hardwoods - The Burkhart Company uses only select, kiln-dried hardwoods. Many species are available for your project. Some of the most popular varieties are: mahogany, cherry, maple, poplar, ash, hickory, walnut.
Hardwood plywoods - One of the ingredients that sets the quality of the Burkhart Company workmanship apart is the use of 3/4" veneer core hardwood plywood in the construction of cabinet cases. No particle board is used. Our paint grade products use the best combination of composites, veneers and hardwoods.
Laminates - Clients of the Burkhart Company request a wide variety of laminates for their projects including plastic laminates from Formica® and Wilsonart®. Many other laminates are also available.

Drawers and drawer slides - The Burkhart Company's maple dovetail drawer boxes with concealed soft closing undermount slides are a popular choice. The slides are smooth rolling and allow for durability, strength and ease of use. They come in a wide variety for drawers of all sizes. Other types of drawer boxes and slides are available depending on the budget. The Burkhart Company uses  only the highest quality drawer slides for years of dependable use.
Decorative Hardware- The Burkhart Company keeps many quality decorative pulls and handles in stock and can quickly order others in an unbelievable number of syles and finishes. Finishes - Painted finishes are available in oil-based enamels to match your trim. Or for a more durable painted finish, catalized and pigmented conversion varnishes are used. They stand the test of time and are resistant to the toughest household environment. Glazed painted finishes add timeless detail and are very durable due to their tough clear final coat. Stains - Both standard colors or custom mixed stains are used for the perfect match. We mix our own stains to provide an unlimited variety of colors and tones. Glazing and/or distressing can add depth and character. Multiple coats of clear catalized varnish are used as a top coat for extreme durability. Sheens are available from dull to glossy.
